Terms and Conditions
Last updated: 6 September 2026
Welcome to Qarar Iraq, the digital platform of Qarar Group for Law and Legal Consultancy. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the website, the mobile application and every service offered through them (together, the "Platform"). By using the Platform or creating an account you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of them, please do not use the Platform.
1. Who we are
The Platform is operated by Qarar Group for Law and Legal Consultancy in the Republic of Iraq ("Qarar", "we", "us"). Our official contact details are published on the Platform's home page and contact page.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least eighteen years old and have full legal capacity to contract. An account is created with an Iraqi phone number verified by a code sent over WhatsApp; the phone number is the sole sign-in identifier. You are responsible for keeping the verification code confidential and for all activity under your account, and you must tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorised use.
3. Nature of the services
The Platform lets you request legal services through two paths: a legal consultation (a reply within twenty-four hours, or an appointment at our office) and service execution (a legal file handled by a consultant and a lawyer from our team). General information published on the Platform is not legal advice and does not create a lawyer-client relationship. That relationship arises only once Qarar has expressly accepted your request and the applicable fee has been paid or the fees agreed; some services may require a power of attorney or further documents to be signed outside the Platform.
4. Requests and documents
You undertake that the information and documents you submit are accurate, complete and up to date, and that you are entitled to provide them. We may decline or cancel any request, or ask for further documents, before work begins. Documents you upload remain yours; you grant us the right to use them solely for the purpose for which they were provided.
5. Fees and payment
Consultation fees are shown on the Platform in Iraqi dinars before payment. Fees for service execution are set out in a fee quotation sent to you for approval, and work starts only after you accept and pay it. Online payments are processed by the Qi Card gateway or the Aqsati instalment service and are subject to the payment provider's own terms. Fees paid for a consultation that has been delivered or for work that has begun are non-refundable, unless the law provides otherwise or we agree otherwise in writing.
6. Appointments
An office appointment you choose is a proposal until our team confirms it, and we may suggest an alternative time. Please tell us in good time if you cannot attend; a missed appointment without notice may be treated as a delivered consultation.
7. Your obligations
You agree not to use the Platform for any unlawful purpose, not to upload content that is misleading, abusive or infringes the rights of others, and not to attempt unauthorised access to, disruption of, or automated extraction from the Platform. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these Terms.
8. Confidentiality and privacy
We keep the information you share with us confidential in accordance with the rules of the legal profession and applicable law. Your personal data is processed as described in the Privacy Policy published on the Platform, which forms part of these Terms.
9. Intellectual property
The Qarar name and logo, and the design and content of the Platform, are owned by or licensed to Qarar and may not be copied or reused without our prior written consent.
10. Limitation of liability
We exercise the professional care owed in every service we provide, but we do not guarantee any particular legal outcome, which depends on the facts of each matter and the judgement of the competent authorities. The Platform is provided as is and may be interrupted for maintenance or for reasons beyond our control. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect losses arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Platform.
11. Closing your account
You may delete your account from the application's settings at any time. On deletion your identifying details are removed and your phone number is released, while records of legal files and financial transactions are retained for the period required by law and by the rules of the profession.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The date of the latest update appears at the top of this page, and your continued use of the Platform after publication constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
13. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Iraq, and the courts of Baghdad have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them, unless an amicable settlement is reached first.
14. Contact
For any question about these Terms, please reach us through the contact details published on the Platform.
